In recent weeks Leeds United have been linked with the Argentine midfielder and Calciomercato.com claims Zenit have approached the Friuli in the last few hours.
The report reveals the midfielder has decided to wait, hoping to receive an offer from
the Italian giants.
He has been mentioned as a possible target for Juventus and Napoli, but the Serie A sides must reportedly hurry to keep him in the League.
The 26-year-old, who arrived from Valencia in July 2016, has played 146 competitive games for Udinese, contributing 25 goals and 25 assists in the process.
